so im wondering if maybe all it needs is a radio on the system to affiliate with it or there needs to be a radio connected to that tower with that talkgroup for audio to come through, again im ignorant to this trunking lol and would like to learn more about it. Look here for a flashcode decoder for Astro radios. Talk groups are the various teams that use the network, and the sites that permit it to use must also be declared to the trunked system.
In order for a subscriber unit to gain service on the network, it must be declared as a valid unit to the trunked system.

Now i have a problem sometimes where i know there is audio on a talkgroup is comming through but doesent come through on the trunked system, I wonder if that may be because there are no radios that are one the system that are connected to that tower, the tower i listen to it is not highly unlikely to not have someone connected to that system, sometimes it might loose audio on that talkgroup from that tower for a matter of minutes or a matter or hours, sometimes you just dont know, i know that wardens and troopers have been around more lately then other times and i have not had a problem in awhile picking up audio from the tower on that certain frequency.
